Had the saffron chicken, that was excellent.
Food took a little time to prepare but was fresh.
Nice ambiance as well, service was good, all you can drink tea haha!
Prices were also reasonable.

A must try in Kingston! We stopped in Kingston on our back to Toronto from Ottawa. So glad we did! Ali Baba's a middle eastern restaurant that is on the cutest street with a bunch of other shops and restaurants. A short walk from the waterfront. The perfect little detour.
The first thing I realized was the decor, every direction you turn your head there's some sort of authentic decor. Once we ordered they brought over complimentary tea, that was amazing! We ordered chicken shawarma plate, mixed shawarma plate, 2 other chicken and kabob platters and garlic potatoes. The garlic potatoes were extraordinary, it came with a lemony garlic sauce. A must try. Everything else was delicious. The platters came with rice, salad, hummus and a garlic sauce. Generous portions and an amazing variety. The meat was juicy, salads were fresh, rice was cooked perfectly and the hummus was great.
Highly recommend! And take a walk down the street if you get the chance, the waterfront was beautiful! -

I went there for lunch. They gave complimentary tea, which was quite tasty. The food was good, with reasonable price. The only thing which I didn't like was their service. They can be more fast in their service.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch. The interior of this place is very rustic with authentic decor pieces. Food quantity was very worth for the price we were paying. We ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and saffron chicken platter. The wrap came with fried potatoes and garlic dip, and the chicken platter came with saffron rice, salad, hummus and garlic dip. Everything was very very tasty, I absolutely loved the food. It's a must visit place in downtown Kingston
